New Books

A Suitor for Jenny
Jenny Higgins's plan to find husbands for her two sisters hits a snag when enthusiastic applicants fail to meet her stringent requirements. Rejecting her sisters' choices for mates and riding herd on her growing feelings for Marshal Rhett Armstrong, she refuses to give up.
Eleanor the Hippo
This delightful story combined with captivating art illustrates how gossip is hurtful and why honesty frees us to be ourselves and to love others like God does. When animals of the village gather round, Eleanor weaves tales about others. She thought that she was having fun But lies can often hurt someone.
The Road Trip U.S.A.
Hop in for a cross-country trip with a trio of fun-loving Californians in The Road Trip U.S.A. An eye-opening documentary about living the American dream and bringing people to Christ, the film follows Chris, Troy, and Kuno as they travel 15,000 miles across 34 states in a bright red 1963 Mercury Comet, distributing Bibles, sightseeing, and surfing the local beaches.

The Last Thing I Remember
She Did What She Could
Based on the woman who anointed Jesus' feet with expensive perfume in Mark 14, "SDWSC" provides overwhelmed yet service-seeking readers a realistic response to the seemingly insurmountable needs around them.

Just Like You
A loving mother tells about the special day her child was born and how on that same day around the world many other children were born and celebrated in a unique way.

Miracles
This guide draws from five of Kingsbury's most popular books, delivering readers a fresh word from God for each week. Each devotion is an excerpt from one of her Miracle books, selected for the uplifting and strengthening message it offers.

Hope Unseen

Blindness became Captain Scotty Smiley's journey of supreme testing. As he lay helpless in the hospital, he resented the theft of his dreams, becoming a CEO, a Delta Force operator, or a four-star general. With his wife Tiffany's love and the support of his family and friends, Scotty's response became God's transforming moment. The injury only intensified his indomitable spirit. Since the moment he jumped out of a hospital bed and forced his way through nurses and cords to take a simple shower, Captain Scotty Smiley has climbed Mount Rainier, won an ESPY as Best Outdoor Athlete, surfed, skydived, become a father, earned an MBA from Duke, taught leadership at West Point, commanded an army company, and won the MacArthur Leadership Award. Scotty and Tiffany Smiley have lived out a faith so real that it will inspire you to question your own doubts, push you to serve something bigger than yourself, and encourage you to cling to a Hope Unseen.

4-H Fundraiser

We have a sweet young lady who has been checking books out of our library since elementary school.

Now she is in high school and quite active in 4-H.

She is an excellent student as well as a very active participant in 4-H.  We see her name frequently in the newspaper when she has won a competition and received an award.

She is one who has been selected to go to Washington with 4-H.  To raise funds, she has not asked for donations but is selling hand-crafted notecards.  Some have been shown in these pictures.

If you are interested in purchasing them, the cost is $1 each and includes an envelope.   We are not trying to obligate you to buy but wanted you to have an opportunity on this great deal for this beautiful product.   Call us before you come by to make sure we are not sold out.  Thanks!
